absolutely not the past was terrible and nothing about it was a good thing. I kinda wished if I was myself that I wouldn't be born for at least anothat 10-20 years so that my chrono-youth would take place at a time when I would suffer less. my generation really wasn't a good time to be born when my generation [chrono] was born, especially for my particular disabilities and being NDN lineage with NDN cultural upbringing and not having civil rights yet. I'm not even sure 20 years is going to be enough for indigenous peoples to have less of a screwy place in the world, but I sure hope it improve and doesn't continue to erode like it has during my lifetime. it's kind of worryingly unfair IMO that there might never be a good era to be born NDN, post-contact.
